Born in Norfolk, Virginia, raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Derrick Brown aka King Scythe, built his foundation on 80s and 90s hip-hop. Growing up as self-proclaim geek/nerd, hip-hop became an outlet to express himself, and prove he could rhyme with the best.

 "If I wanted to be known for something - it's sharp rhymes...like, almost deadly. But also, if I'm an instrument of destruction, with death, comes rebirth. Every ending, has a beginning you know."
